Chisato Fukuda Calvert, Ph.D., brings over 15 years of experience in strategic partnerships and business development across international development, nonprofits, and startups. She specializes in advancing equitable and sustainable solutions to global challenges and has held leadership roles at SINAI Technologies, OpenAQ Inc., Impact Experience, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

At Terra Impact, Chisato partners with organizations to design actionable strategies, build meaningful collaborations, and implement solutions that deliver measurable social and environmental impact. She helps businesses, nonprofits, and research institutions navigate complex challenges and translate vision into scalable, lasting results.

Chisato earned her Ph.D. in Medical Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where her dissertation research on the politics and public health effects of air pollution helped shape air pollution policy and interventions in Mongolia. She also co-founded SmartAir Mongolia, a social enterprise providing affordable air purifiers to help families protect their health amid air pollution. In addition, she serves as an Advisory Board Member of Breathe Mongolia and Board Member Emeritus of After the Fire USA.

This combination of research expertise, strategic insight, and hands-on experience enables her to guide organizations in achieving tangible impact while advancing sustainability and equity.
